The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)

  • Client address, site address (if different) and other reasonable details regarding the garden or property we are potentially working on.

  • Site preference and third party cookies

  • Google Analytics and other web analytics packages.

  • We may also collect imagery (photos and videos) of the site or garden for design information purposes. These are also used for our business use (such as before and after photos). More details on how to opt out of this can be found in our Terms of Engagement.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Enquiries related to accessing / using our services

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Through referrals from third parties (for example a contractor looking to refer a client to us for design purposes)

  • As is common practice with almost all professional websites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience.

  • In some special cases we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties. 

We use the information that you have given us in order to develop a legal contract with you, or to simply improve the user-experience of our website. We may use this information to collect information about our potential client profile, or to contact you in future with offers, information or correspondence about our services. We may share this information with third parties - when necessary. This is only likely when we are acting on your behalf in a design and build context (where we liaise with contractors on your behalf). For more information, please refer to our Terms of Engagement.

We use cookies for a variety of reasons. How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored. We keep all client personal information (such as names, addresses, contact numbers) for 6 years in accordance with our indemnity and public liability insurance policy - for this is the limitation of our liability with projects we have worked on. We will then dispose of your information by erasing this from our digital systems. Please note, that images and videos will remain, without reference to your specific personal information. 

All design documentation produced by us, remains our intellectual property and therefore is not erased after this time period. Every effort is made to separate the specific personal data from such work, unless for the purpose of providing official documentation related to the project for which we are contractually working under. Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
