Cley-Next-the-Sea, Norfolk
Completed in April 2024, with a bespoke limestone carved water feature, harmonious united colour pallet across the hard and soft landscaping, this design maximises on the complicated level changes. Rather than leaving a single staircase between garden zones, we have curated large and inviting platforms that gradually lead you through the space. We’ve introduced large monolithic glacial boulders, scribing these into paths and patios to create a sense of permanence and heritage to the site.
We have been working on the design and planning for this garden for almost two years; making sense of its many levels and making sure it meets the demands of it’s stunning location. This coastal barn conversion is one of those incredibly exciting properties that boasts such a rich tapestry of existing materials, original flint and brick alongside breathtaking views.
Realistically, about 5 gardens in one, all nestled on top of one another. We have pushed the envelope with this garden design, and since being planted in April, we look forward to seeing it mature over the coming months.
